A previously unreleased recording of Cream’s “Sunshine Of Your Love” has been revealed in anticipation of the group’s forthcoming box set Goodbye Tour Live 1968. The track was recorded at California’s Oakland Coliseum Arena on October 4, 1968, just weeks ahead of the band’s final show at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Listen in the player below.

The Goodbye Tour Live 1968 collection boasts four complete concerts from the supergroup’s farewell tour and features three of Cream’s October 1968 California concerts – Oakland, Los Angeles, and San Diego – as well as Cream’s November 26, 1968 farewell gig from London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Due out February 7, 2020, the 4 CD box set marks the first authorized release of the four concerts, as well as the first audio-only release of the Royal Albert Hall gig, which was previously only available on DVD.

Each of the 36 tracks in the set has been remastered from the original tapes and 19 of those tracks have never before been released. The collection is completed by a book featuring liner notes by music journalist David Fricke. See the complete tracklist below.

“Cream was a shambling circus of diverse personalities who happened to find that catalyst together….. any one of us could have played unaccompanied for a good length of time,” Eric Clapton said of the performances in a statement. “So you put the three of us together in front of an audience willing to dig it limitlessly, we could have gone on forever…. And we did….just going for the moon every time we played.”

This is the first reissue by Cream since the recent passing of drummer Ginger Baker. Ten days after the release of the Goodbye Tour Live 1968 set, on February 17, 2020, Eric Clapton will stage a charity concert to honor his late friend and bandmate which is being billed as, Eric Clapton and Friends: A Tribute to Ginger Baker.
