Things to do in the Portland area (and beyond):  

Now - Aug. 28 (Tuesdays 12 to 1 p.m.) Noon Tunes Summer Concert Series in Pioneer Courthouse Square. Free.

Now - Aug. 28 (Tuesdays) Free Tunes outside Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg.  Music, plus food and wine vendors. Free.

Wednesday, August 8: The Crazy 8's at Mississippi Studios on 8/8/18!

Now - Aug. 29 (Wednesdays 5 to 7 p.m.) Music on Main next to Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.  Local musicians. Free.

Now - Aug. 9 (Thursdays 7 p.m.):  River Rhythms at Monteith Riverpark in Albany.  Food vendors, music, children’s crafts, and a beer garden. No pets. Free.

July 20 - Aug. 17 (Fridays): Flicks on the Bricks at Pioneer Courthouse Square showing films at dusk, preceded by music at 7 p.m. Bring low-back chairs or pillows. Free.   Aug. 10 - Grease (PG-13) Aug. 17 - Mean Girls (PG-13)

Now - Sept. 7: Movies in the Park with live music before the movie, free popcorn, and movies at dusk. Dogs on leash, no smoking. Free.

August 10 – 11: Vancouver Brewfest has locally brewed beer, wine, cider, food, live music, and craft vendors at Esther Short Park for age 21+.

August 10 – 12: Elephant Garlic Festival has garlic-flavored foods, arts & crafts, and live music in North Plains. No pets. Free.

August 11 (11am-6pm): Music Millennium’s 26th Annual Customer Appreciation Barbeque.  Food Games, Prizes and Music! At 2pm Jon Koonce and the Gashes, 3pm Nervous Jenny.  SE 32nd and Burnside.

August 11: Alberta Street Fair enjoy local products, artists, crafts, and foods. It includes an 11 a.m. kids’ parade, a kids’ corner, two beer gardens, and three stages of entertainment.

August 11: Beaverton Night Market is a family-friendly event with 55 vendors of ethnic food and crafts, plus performers from around the world at The Round. Free.

August 11(12 to 7 pm): Polo Noir at Hidden Creek Polo Club in West Linn.  It’s all  about the horses, the players, live indie-folk music, and Willamette Valley wines.

August 11: Northwest Fossil Fest at Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks & Minerals. Free. Learn about fossils and there’s even kid’s activities!

August 11: Radio-Controlled (RC) Air Show in Forest Grove.  Drones, aerobatic planes, helicopters, warbirds, and even jets perform.  There’s even a kids’ candy drop.

August 12: Bridge Pedal is a 7.5-mile walk or a 3 to 30 mile ride with stunning views from atop Portland bridges. No dogs or skates.

August 12: India Festival, in Pioneer Courthouse Square. Free entry.

August 15 – 16 (9 pm): Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band features The Nowhere Band playing the entire Sgt. Pepper album plus other songs of the era, with live visuals by JumpWire at Alberta Rose Theatre.

August 17 – 19: Portland Renovation and Landscaping Show in Memorial Coliseum.
