Now-Dec 21: The Annual Christmas Ship Parade, with 50 boats with Christmas lights cruise the Columbia River and the Willamette River.

Now - Dec. 28: The Train to Christmas Town, with a visit from Santa and his elves.  It’s a 75-minute train ride along the Columbia River.  With cocoa, cookies and music.

Now - Dec. 16: Festival of Trees at Divine Consign in Vancouver.

Now - Dec. 31 (4 to 9 p.m.): Lighting of Maddax Woods, 5785 River Street in West Linn. Follow colorful lights through the woods to a viewing platform on the Willamette.

Now-Dec 17: Holiday Express Train.  Take a one-hour ride along the Willamette River and meet Santa on the decorated train going roundtrip from 7805 SE Oaks Park Way. 

Now - Dec. 26: Winter Wonderland has 250 colorful displays at Portland International Raceway. Drive through.  Billed as the largest light show in the Northwest.

Now - Dec. 30: Christmas Festival of Lights at The Grotto.  Features a walk among lights, choirs, carolers, a petting zoo, puppet shows, and hot chocolate. Closed 12/25.

Now - Dec. 31: Christmas in the Garden at Oregon Garden in Silverton.   600,000 lights, music, a Christmas market, ice skating, snowless tubing, and Santa. Closed Dec., 11, 12, 24, 25.

Now- Jan. 7, 2018: ZooLights transforms the Oregon Zoo into a Winter Wonderland! Closed Dec. 24-25, and Jan. 1-4.

Now - Dec. 24: A Christmas Carol: The Musical at Brunish Theatre.

Now – Dec 16: The comedy play “An Act of God” at The Sanctuary at Sandy Plaza.  With the assistance of angels Michael and Gabriel, God sets the record straight by answering the deepest questions plaguing mankind since creation.

Dec 16 – 17: Toy Box is a holiday show about toys that come to life, performed on stage and in the air by students in the warehouse of A-WOL Dance Collective.

Now-Dec 17: Beauty and the Beast is a Disney musical about a young woman (Belle) and a prince under a witch’s curse (Beast) live onstage at Newmark Theatre.

Now-Dec 23: The Miracle of a Million Lights.  Visit the Victorian Belle mansion and its 2.5-acre grounds for the lights and music.

Now-Dec 24: The Nutcracker is a holiday classic with outstanding choreography and dance by Oregon Ballet Theatre at Keller Auditorium.

Dec 15 - 18 and 21 – 23: The Christmas Revels is a family-oriented celebration of the winter solstice with music, dance, song, theater, and humor at St. Mary’s Academy.

Dec 15 - 31 (6 to 11 p.m.): Lights on Peacock Lane.  On Dec. 15- 17 is closed to cars and open only to pedestrians!

Dec 16: Santa Pub Crawl: Stumptown SantaCon starts at Splash Bar.

Dec 16 – 17: Holiday Spiritsfest for 21+.  Local craft distillers, live music and the vendors at the Saturday Market. Free.

Dec 16 – 17: Do Jump & 3 Leg Torso at Alberta Rose Theatre.  A cirque type show with acrobatics, dancing, juggling, live music, and mayhem.

Dec 22 : Celtic Yuletide at Alberta Rose Theatre.  Irish music, dance, storytelling, juggling, and holiday songs.

Dec 22 – 23: Renegade Craft Fair offers indie crafts, artisan food, and music outside Pure Space. Free.

Dec 27: The Harlem Globetrotters at the Moda Center.

Dec 27 – 31:  Whale Watching Week. Volunteers will help you spot whales at 24 sites. Check with Depoe Bay Whale Center in Newport for locations.
