Now - Dec 26: Winter Wonderland at P.I.R. has 250 colorful displays that you drive through. No studded tires or tire chains.

Now - Dec 30: Christmas Festival of Lights at The Grotto is a walk through lights, with choirs, carolers, a petting zoo, puppet shows, and hot chocolate. Closed on Christmas. 

Now - Dec. 31 (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.): See the Pittock Mansion when it’s decorated for the holidays by professional designers and volunteers.  Closed Dec. 25.

Now - Dec 31: Lighting of Maddax Woods, 5785 River Street in West Linn.  Follow colorful lights through the woods to a viewing platform on the Willamette River.

Now - Dec 31: Christmas in the Garden at Oregon Garden in Silverton.   Lights, music, warm fires, a Christmas market, and a “fun pass” adds ice skating and snowless tubing. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays except Dec. 17, 18, 31.

Now - Jan 5: ZooLights at the Oregon Zoo!  Lighted trees, animal silhouettes, and moving sculptures. Closed Dec. 24, 25.

Now – 20: The Christmas Ship Parade of 50 boats with Christmas lights cruise the Columbia River and the Willamette River.

Now – 27: The Train to Christmas Town.  Take a 70-minute train ride along the Columbia River, cocoa, cookies, and a visit from Santa and his elves.

Dec 10 – 23: Victorian Belle Mansion has 2.5-acre grounds with a million lights, a train display, and musical performances during The Miracle of a Million Lights.

Dec 12 – 26: Christmas at The Old Church with Michael Allen Harrison at the piano, guest musicians, and vocalists at The Old Church Concert Hall.

Dec 12 – 29: Portland Playhouse performs Dickens’ holiday classic A Christmas Carol at Portland Playhouse.

Dec 13 - 14 (7:30 p.m.): A Christmas Carol: The Musical is the classic story about Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, and Christmas ghosts at Brunish Theatre.

Dec 13 – 26: The Nutcracker by Oregon Ballet Theatre at Keller Auditorium.

Dec 14 – 16: Do Jump & 3 Leg Torso perform a mind-blowing show with “laughter, love, acrobatics, dancing, juggling, live music, and mayhem” at Alberta Rose Theatre.

Dec 14 – 22: The Christmas Revels at Newmark Theatre is a family-oriented celebration of the winter solstice with music, dance, song, and humor.

Dec 15:  Stumptown SantaCon is a pub crawl dressed as Santa.  At various Portland bars.  Starts at Splash Bar.  Sign into their Facebook page for more information.

Dec 15 – 16: Holiday Spirits Fest at the Saturday Market. Free. Meet local craft distillers, sample their products, and buy signature cocktails or bottles. 21+.

Dec 15 – 16: The Trail Band is an eight-piece ensemble that blends brass, string, and harmonizing vocal arrangements at Aladdin Theater.

Dec 15 – 16: Take the Holiday Express Train on a one-hour ride along the Willamette River and meet Santa.  Going roundtrip from 7805 SE Oaks Park Way.

Dec 15 – 31: Christmas at Lights on Peacock Lane.  Some days it’s closed to cars and open only to pedestrians. Free.

Dec 20 (12 to 1 p.m.) The Beat Goes on Marching Band Holiday Performance at 6th & Oak. Free.
