Things to do this week in the Portland area!

Father's Day is coming up and there's a Grateful Dad event to go with it.  Plus BEER.  Is there a week during the Summer in the Northwest where there's no beer event planned?  Portland Pride Festival, a Powwow at Delta Park, and a Portland Undie Run/Walk all bring fun to the weekend!  Enjoy! 


June 14 (7 p.m.): Brewer’s Dinner at the Oregon Garden in Silverton.  Enjoy six courses of small plates paired with six beers from local breweries.

June 15 – 16: Browse thousands of independent booksellers’ books at the Rose City Book & Paper Fair at DoubleTree Hotel.

June 15 – 17: City of Roses Delta Park Powwow & Encampment features competition dancing, drumming, art and craft vendors, fry bread, food booths, and games at Delta Park East. No pets. Free.

June 15 – 17: The Berry Festival at Lee Farms features food (pies, shortcake, milkshakes), farm animals, and kids’ activities that require a wristband (bounce pillow, hay maze, hayride, slide, barrel wagon ride).

June 15 – 17: Try beer from 60 breweries, enjoy good food, and hear live music on Father’s Day weekend at Oregon Garden BrewCamp at the Oregon Garden in Silverton for all ages. Camping available.

June 16 (12 to 3 p.m.)Taste fine cheese paired with local beers at Portland Beer and Cheese Fest at Culmination Brewing for age 21+.

June 16: Portland Undy Run/Walk is a family and pet friendly 5K and 1-mile event for charity at Willamette Park.

June 16: The Grateful Dad Half Marathon and 10K/5K/kid-run begin at Kliever Memorial Armory and go along the Columbia River, followed by a breakfast and a beer garden with Grateful Dead music.

June 16: The Taste of Tigard.  Local food and beverage vendors at the 12345 SW Main Street in Tigard. The live music begins at noon. Free entry.

June 16 – 17: Portland Pride Festival includes food vendors and exhibitors both days at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Portland Pride Parade begins 11 a.m. Sunday at NW Park Avenue & W. Burnside Street (map). Free.

June 16: The StormBreaker Brewing untimed 5K Fun Run is on sidewalks and park trails, followed by a free beer and live entertainment.

June 17: Board a Portland Spirit river cruise for brunch, dinner, or just views in Portland or Cascade Locks in the gorge.
