Live and local is back on KGON in the morning when local radio vets Terry Boyd and Matt Wilcox hit the air weekdays from 5:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. starting Monday, July 31st.

KGON’s Program Director Chris Crowley says he’s thrilled to bring Terry and Matt on board. “Terry is a typical KGON listener; he lives that lifestyle. He’s got a passion from community involvement and a slightly skewed point of view.”

Matt Wilcox has signed on as producer and cohost. He and Terry worked together in the past and have great chemistry, with Matt providing a “voice of reason” for Terry’s often off-kilter perspective.

The new morning show will also kick off a 92-Minute Music Sweep every morning at 8:50, providing KGON’s listeners with a non-stop stretch of rock to start the workday.

Iris Harrison, who recently celebrated 40 years with KGON and has been graciously handling morning drive duties, will remain with the station and return to her regular midday show from 10am – 3 p.m. “I’m already looking forward to the extra couple of hours of sleep every morning,” she says.
